Raaijman Robotics has its roots in more than 20 years of underwater experience. The company originally started as Diving Service Raaijman, operating as a sole proprietorship and providing professional diving services for a wide range of underwater projects. Over the years, this hands-on experience built a strong foundation in marine operations, underwater inspections, problem solving, and working safely in challenging environments.
In 2014, the company took an important step forward by entering the ROV industry. This new chapter began with ROV training in the Philippines, together with close friend Johan. What started as a new technical direction soon became a major part of the company’s future. The combination of practical diving knowledge and advanced robotic technology created a strong advantage in the underwater inspection and service market.
From that point onward, Raaijman Robotics began working with respected companies such as Bluestream and N-Sea. These collaborations helped the company gain valuable experience in professional ROV operations, offshore support, vessel inspections, and specialist underwater projects.
Our Development
In 2016, Raaijman Robotics purchased its first ROV system: the SeaBotix LBV 300-5. This was followed by the slightly larger vLBV 300, allowing the company to take on a wider range of inspection and survey work. With these systems, many successful projects were completed, including vessel inspections, quay wall surveys, sprinkler tank inspections, and various inland underwater assignments.
After years of practical field experience and countless completed inspections, the time came to invest in a new and more advanced system. This time, the goal was clear: the next ROV had to be an industry-leading platform with exceptional capabilities, high reliability, and maximum flexibility.
Before making a final decision, almost two years were spent testing systems, visiting suppliers, inspecting factories, and comparing different technologies. Only after this thorough process was the decision made to commission a very special ROV. This advanced system has the unique ability to fly in all directions, making it highly manoeuvrable and extremely efficient in complex underwater environments.
